IT Help Desk Technician (Contract/Seasonal)

Kennesaw, GA (onsite)

B Shift: Wednesday - Sunday (2:00 PM - 11:00 PM)

Summary:

RPI, a global leader in print-on demand, is currently seeking a seasonal/temporary Help Desk Technician to join our Atlanta (Kennesaw) office. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues in a fast-paced production environment. This is a great opportunity for an IT professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related support, professionally representing the IT team.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance for hardware (laptops, desktops, printers) and software-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently; escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams as needed.
  • Accurately document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in RPI's ticketing system.
  • Follow up with users to ensure satisfactory issue resolution.
  • Assist with IT-related projects as assigned by the supervisor or team lead.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in IT support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, or equivalent training.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform maintenance on computer systems with small components.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience providing customer service in a technical support environment.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Mac OS.
  • Familiarity with standard office automation products.
  • Experience using ticketing systems for IT support.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent use of a keyboard for data entry and troubleshooting.
  • May be required to use a wave or scissor lift for equipment maintenance.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing work environments in a fast-paced production setting.
