Production Lead

RPI, a global leader in print-on demand, is currently seeking an experienced Production Lead for our Rochester, NY manufacturing facility. As a Production Lead, you will oversee day-to-day operations in the Bookline department. Taking ownership of your shift, you'll balance quality and productivity, embodying RPI's values with a positive attitude. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with procedures, you'll play a key role in optimizing performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe working environment, including equipment operation, PPE usage, workplace cleanliness, and safety protocols.
• Ensure employee performance meets production KPIs, including SLA, Reprint Rate, labor management, and productivity, striving for continuous improvement.
• Effectively communicate between organizational levels as well as with other shifts and departments.
• Collaborate with supervisors to provide consistent, documented training.
• Oversee operator-level maintenance and quality procedure, promote the importance of product quality.
• Develop, mentor and cross train employees in multiple departments, providing feedback.
• Rotate employees for consistent workflow.
• Ensure compliance with RPI and OSHA standards.
• Be flexible and available to adjust hours as needed.
• Other duties as required.

Required Skills/Experience:

• High School education or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to Lean, 6 Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Exhibit positive leadership and strive for continuous improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Work within a moderately loud environment.
• Able to grasp, reach, stoop.
• Able to see color quality and inspect products.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
